Hi there!

I'm a software engineer based in San Francisco. I currently work at a company that builds and operates data streaming infrastructure. I work on the product security platform that supports identity and access management (IAM) functionality.

Before switching to full-time software engineering, I spent several years at UC Berkeley working on globally distributed computer systems, with a focus on the intersection of distributed systems and data security/privacy. My doctoral thesis was designing a secure, globally distributed storage and streaming system. You can find a brief summary here.
